Rib Rocket

Just got back from Indonesia and had a fantastic week of overhead surf every day. The Rib Rocket was great as it kept my ribs and solar plexus from getting sore from two surf sessions per day for 7 straight days. In the past, by the 2nd day, I dreaded paddling due to bruised and sore ribs with just a rash guard. But with the Rib Rocket, I had no problems with sore ribs….

I had several guys ask me what I was wearing…. One guy had a rash on his solar plexus and had to bandage it up to keep it from getting an infection but it still hurt him when he paddled. Another guy had sore ribs.

I can’t thank you enough for this product because it is a rib saver and ultimately a surf trip saver.

Your product is the bomb. I surfed 2-3 ft overhead surf for 6 days straight with zero rash. Totally and completely stoked. Thought you’d appreciate the pics with a decent shot of your product.

Super stoked with my new Rib Rocket.
I placed an order for the Rib Rocket not knowing what I was going to get. Basically I haven’t surfed in years as I have a protruding sternum and my chest gets extremely sore. I took to doing stand-up surfing which took care of that problem, but sometimes there is no substitute for a surf. So I discovered the Rib Rocket and ordered one.

I am so stoked with this Rib Rocket and cannot tell you how it has changed my life. I have been in the surf every day the last week and not once have I had any discomfort or pain. If it works for me it must work super well for anyone especially on those days where you are surfing for a while. So after 20 years of staying away from surfing I am back and loving it. Not quite like riding a bike but I am getting there.

So this Surf Pirate has a somewhat deformed sternum, it sticks out like a knuckle , most painful thing any surfer can endure.  I had a PaddleAir Ergo which was really good, served me well over 5 years from Snapper to D’bah to Samoa and the Ments. Sadly it died a few months ago and since then I had been packing my rashies with superglued bits of yoga mat .. dodgy and still murder on the sternum, so I went to get another Paddle Air , and lo and behold, they have a new toy called a Rib Rocket. … Fast forward a few days and today we had some punchy lumpy D’Bah, pretty raw, so much so that for almost half an hour I was alone out there, lots of paddling getting smashed with bombs on the head, and some long and hard paddles. Three hours later, arms lame, I went in and as I sit here I am pain free…
ABSOLUTELY pain free for the first time in months… Normally this kind of day would have me dry docked in pain for 3 days…

So yeah, if anyone has the sternum/tender rib deal,  I would strongly suggest looking at this awesome new vest   …
